Saxophonist and pianist trained in the Conservatoire de Reims (France) in parallel to a bachelor of musicology, Gabriel Philippot studied composition, conducting and piano accompaniment.
From 2010 to 2015, he attended the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP) and got a Master with several prices (conducting, harmony, counterpoint, fugue, XXth composition style, analysis, film music). Gabriel is also a composer with already dozen of stage music, one opera and several concertos.
Since over ten years, he has conducted various symphonic orchestras (Victor Hugo Franche Comté Orchestra, the Paris conservatoire orchestra, the Toulouse Wind orchestra...). In Paris, he is the CoDirector of the Orchestre Impromptu with Maxime Pascal from 2014 to 2018 and, in Reims, he conducts Euphony since its creation in 2012.
In September 2017, he is finalist at the 55e international competition for young conductor in Besançon and the next year, he creates his own chamber orchestra to promote contemporary music.
